Returns and exchanges


Title to any product(s) purchased from RIVERS SPENCER HOME is passed to you once the freight carrier signs the bill of lading for said product(s), and you will bear the burden of risk of loss/damage to the product(s) once in the custody of your freight carrier. Subject to the foregoing, RIVERS SPENCER HOME is willing to consider requested returns and repairs on a case by case basis, at its sole and unlimited discretion. It is RIVERS SPENCER HOME’s policy to require that any damaged product(s) be repaired by a repair company local to you, sourced by you and approved by Rivers Spencer Home. If an item purchased from RIVERS SPENCER HOME should need repairing, then you should identify a local repair provider and email its information through for approval by return email. RIVERS SPENCER HOME will respond in writing with its decision on approval of the repair service.

It is RIVERS SPENCER HOME’s expectation that any product(s) approved for return or exchange will be in like new condition and such that allows RIVERS SPENCER HOME to resell the product(s) as new. Items must arrive at RIVERS SPENCER HOME’s warehouse in original new condition and in their original packaging, with all instructions and accompanying paperwork included. Provided that you do so within 7 days of your receipt of the product, you may open and inspect an item, however for return it must be repackaged as originally sent, including all hardware and instructions. RIVERS SPENCER HOME reserves the right to charge a restocking fee of 20% of the invoice price for all returns.

RIVERS SPENCER HOME’s limited warranty is made to you only and provides that the product(s) you purchase will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 7 days from the date of your receipt of the product(s). This limited warranty is to you and is non-transferrable. Your sole and exclusive remedy in the event of a breach of RIVERS SPENCER HOME’s limited warranty is expressly limited to the correction of the defect by repair or replacement or issuance of a credit memo, at RIVERS SPENCER HOME's sole election. Within 7 days of your receipt of the item from the delivery service, RIVERS SPENCER HOME will, at its sole election, issue a credit memo for use on future orders or replace defective product(s) caused by a breach of the limited warranty, in accordance with the following Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedure. If you desire to return a product based on a material or workmanship limited warranty claim, then within 24 hours of the item being handed off from the delivery service to you, send photographic evidence of the item and the packaging through The photographs must be of high resolution and taken from a close distance, such as to allow a clear representation of the condition of the item and its packaging. Within 7 days of the item being handed off from the delivery service to you, request an RMA number from RIVERS SPENCER HOME. To obtain a RMA number, visit You must then send the claimed defective product to RIVERS SPENCER HOME, with a return purchase order identifying the RMA number. All returned or exchanged products must have the RMA number clearly noted on every carton. Items received without an RMA number will be refused. You are responsible for arranging for return freight, and you must pay all return shipping charges. No COD shipments are accepted. Freight charges on the initial shipment are nonrefundable. You are responsible for any damages incurred during return shipping. RIVERS SPENCER HOME shall analyze the RMA product. If a warranty defect is found, and the RMA product was received by RIVERS SPENCER HOME within 14 days following delivery of the product(s) to you, RIVERS SPENCER HOME will replace the product, at RIVERS SPENCER HOME's option, within 14 days, and RIVERS SPENCER HOME will reimburse you for the reasonable cost of transporting the product. If RIVERS SPENCER HOME determines the claimed defect is not warranted, you shall reimburse RIVERS SPENCER HOME for costs and expenses incurred to analyze and/or repair the product, including all shipping and transportation costs.

This policy applies to products purchased directly from Rivers Spencer Home.  For all purchases not made directly from Rivers Spencer Home, please check the return policy of the merchant from whom you purchased your product.

All sales are final on Discontinued and Sale items. These items are not eligible for returns or exchanges of any kind.  


RIVERS SPENCER HOME will, upon the placement of any order by you, collect a deposit. If the order if subsequently cancelled, then you forfeit the entire deposit.
